Ceremony to be Held at The V&A Museum in London
TIGA, the network for video games developers and digital publishers, has today announced that its sixth annual Games Industry Awards are open for entry and that the Ceremony will take place at the spectacular V&M Museum in South Kensington, London.
The TIGA Games Industry Awards will be held on Thursday November 2nd 2017. The deadline for entries is 23:59 p.m. on August 11th 2017.
The TIGA Games Industry Awards uniquely recognises excellence in games development, business and education. The Awards also celebrate the achievements of both small and large games development studios. The TIGA Games Industry Awards combine the expertise of a judging panel of industry professionals with a public vote for the ‘Game of the Year’.
The award ceremony – TIGA’s bigget to date – will take place at the spectacular Victoria and Albert (V&A) Museum, the world’s leading museum of art and design and will be attended by 350 guests.
There are 29 categories which are divided in two groups: the ‘Games Awards’ which are open to the entire industry, and the ‘Business Of Games Awards’ which are reserved for TIGA members. There are two special Awards (reserved for TIGA members): ‘Game Of The Year’, which is chosen by the development community through a public vote; and ‘Outstanding Individual Of The Year’, which is chosen by TIGA.
The 2017 Awards are supported by some of the leading lights of the video games industry:
Platinum Sponsor: Amazon Appstore
Gold Sponsors: Amiqus, Outplay, Radiant Worlds, Space Ape Games and Supermassive Games
Silver Sponsors: Aardvark Swift, Grads in Games, Abertay University, Invest North East England, Portsmouth University, Saffery Champness, Stevens & Bolton, Sumo Digital and Universally Speaking
Bronze Sponsors: KPMG, Lockwood Publishing, Pearson, Rovio and SCEDE
TIGA’s charity partner for the 2017 Awards is once again SpecialEffect, a terrific organisation dedicated to using technology to enhance the quality of life of people with physical disabilities through video games.
