By September 23, 2011 Press Releases

TIGA, the trade association representing the UK games
industry, today announced Sifu Music as their
newest member.

Sifu Music provide musical/sound
design services for the games industry. Simon Fung, the founder of the Sifu, is
a successful composer/artist who has created music for Sony PlayStation, advertisements
and film trailers.

Simon began his musical career as
a writer/producer/artist in the band Chinablack, who sold approximately one
million units worldwide. He was nominated for a Brit Award for best British
single with top 10s in several countries. His band achieved number one in the
UK airplay charts for two weeks and the hit music was used by world famous hair
care brand L’Oreal. Recently he has been using his talent within the games
industry and created the music for Sony PlayStation ‘Ragdoll Kung Fu fists of
Plastic’.

Sony PlayStation game ‘Ragdoll
Kung Fu Fists of Plastic’ asked Sifu to create a mixture of elements consisting
of funk 70s retro, black exploitation action films soundtrack mixed with a
light Chinese flavour; several Chinese instruments were used in the mix to
create a lively light hearted track to compliment the game. Expectations
were exceeded and Sony decided to release a digital EP simultaneously with the
release of the game to capitalise on the good reviews highlighting the music by
the media
