TIGA recognises Mental Health Awareness Week 2020

The 18 to 24 May 2020 marks Mental Health Awareness Week in the UK. The theme for this year’s awareness week is kindness.

TIGA have compiled a list of some of the charities and organisations working in the field of mental health and their contact details.

Mind provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. They campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding of mental health issues.

Young Minds is a charity that provides information and advice for anyone who is concerned about the mental health of a young person or a child.

 

  • Samaritans – 116 123

Samaritans provide free mental health support 365 days a year, 24 hours a day.

Anxiety UK are a national charity helping those who suffer from anxiety related disorders.

Age UK provide advice on issues relating to older people in the UK.

 

  • Citizens Advice

Citizens Advice provide people in the UK with free confidential advice and information on a range of issues, including financial, legal and consumer support and support for children and young people.

The Mental Health Foundation works to improve the lives of those affected by mental health problems.
