Video: Practical GTR advice from TIGA’s expert panel

By April 4, 2014 TIGA News

TIGA is working hard on preparing more Games Tax Relief themed events and content to help prepare and inform UK games businesses to take advantage of this new landmark measure for the industry.

As part of this effort we have hosted and filmed a panel Q&A session, with TIGA board members and other experts on GTR, offering practical tips and information for UK developers. TIGA members can also access a topline guide on our site here, and this two page flyer from Kingston Smith with more in-depth guidance and information.

  • Elaine Green, owner of Nellyvision, an independent studio formed after the Second Life makers Linden Lab closed down in the UK in 2010.
  • Nick Brown, owner of Boss Level, a UK-based indie developer creating massively multi-player games and apps for desktop, mobile, tablet and Smart TV.
  • Jason Kingsley OBE, TIGA Chairman and CEO & Creative Director of Rebellion
  • Matthew Appleton, Senior Manager, Tax, Grant Thornton UK LLP

We’ve broken the content down into specific clips, according to the questions posed to the panel. Please see these clips below. If you have any questions regarding GTR, please email info@tiga.org, and we will respond as soon as possible.

We’d also like to thank Weightman’s LLP who kindly arranged for us to carry out this filming at its London office.
