By September 14, 2012 TIGA News

The Games for Film contest is a major competition launched
for UK games developers that is looking for new and innovative ways to use
computer games to promote films.

£100k Games for Film
contest deadline EXTENDED to noon Mon 8 Oct. Full details: http://bit.ly/O19gl1

The games for films contest has been created by the University
of Abertay Dundee, D-Media and IC tomorrow in association with Lionsgate UK and
the BFI (British Film Institute).

The Games for Film contest is a chance for UK games
developers to access development funding with up to four grants of £25,000
available. This opportunity offers a chance to work with either Lionsgate on a
extensive range of their titles (both theatrical and home entertainment) or to
work on one of two specific films still in post-production (Spike Island and
Smash and Grab: The Story of the Pink Panthers).

The closing date for the contest is 12 noon Thursday 20
September. The deadline is fast approaching, however, the entry process only
requires applicants to answer five questions and provide a two minute YouTube
video of the concept.
