Ebury Partners join TIGA

By September 28, 2011 Press Releases

TIGA, the
trade association representing the UK games industry, today announced Ebury
Partners as their newest member.

Ebury Partners are a bespoke foreign exchange brokerage offering clients
market leading execution services, expert risk management advice and broader
treasury solutions.

Ebury Partners
was established two years ago by a former senior trader
Salvador Garcia Andres, and technology entrepreneur Juan Lobato. Ebury was created
to offer clients competitive exchange rates and a higher level of personal
service than they could expect from their banks or other brokers. This was made
possible with investment in cutting edge technology and an experienced team.
Ebury Partners’ founding principles are transparency and honesty. The business
has grown rapidly and they are now established as one of the most innovative
and fastest growing companies in this sector. The business has expanded from
pure foreign exchange services to offering other complimentary treasury
products. They have now more than 500 corporate customers, 100 per cent of
which are recurrent.

Ebury Partners
have helped a number of companies involved in the UK
gaming industry (including nDreams and Cubic motion), compete on a global level
and maximise their profits by offering market leading currency transfer and
hedging facilities.

They are the first company in the industry to offer deliverable
currencies in a number of emerging markets as well as offering a full suite of
trade finance products to their clients. Ebury Partners also offer tailored
risk management strategies that enable UK developers to stop fluctuations in
the currency market from affecting the value of foreign currency receivables
from publishers and similar clients they work with internationally.

Nicholas James Tucker, Corporate Development Manager of Ebury Partners explains
the reason why he decided to join TIGA:

“We have identified the UK gaming sector and wider British gaming
community as an exciting and growing market that is only going to strengthen in
the coming decade. We are thrilled at the opportunity to work with innovative
and growing companies and assist them in winning international business and
remaining competitive and dynamic in an increasingly global market. Ebury is
joining TIGA to build on our initial success in helping clients in the gaming
industry manage their currency exposure in the most prudent, efficient and
professional manner. Ebury is looking to work with key partners such as TIGA to
introduce industry standards for currency management to ensure profits remain
buoyant for UK developers, publishers and designers.”

Dr. Richard Wilson, TIGA CEO welcomed the organisation to TIGA:

“TIGA members are export focused: 95 per
cent of UK games developers export at least some of their games. Ebury Partners
will help TIGA members to make the most of the global opportunities that exist
for the games, not least through their foreign exchange services. We are
delighted to welcome Ebury Partners to TIGA.”
