BBC Worldwide becomes TIGA's latest member

TIGA, the trade
association representing the UK games industry, today announced BBC Worldwide
Digital Entertainment & Games as its newest member.

The commercial
arm of the BBC has become heavily involved in gaming across multiple platforms,
recently releasing Top Gear: Stunt School Revolution for iOS and Doctor
Who: The Eternity Clock for PlayStation 3.

BBC Worldwide
Digital Entertainment & Games division, which started in 2010, is currently
seeking partnerships with developers and publishers, looking to produce a host
of games based on the BBC's top brands. 

The department is focused on
developing and publishing game titles across mobile and console platforms
including tablets.

EVP  explains the reason why BBC Worldwide decided to join TIGA:
