XX+ GAMES JAM
A 24 hour games jam is being held at 5 different UK locations including London, Bristol, Brighton, East Anglia, and Leamington Spa from Friday 14th October 18:00 to Saturday 15th October 18:00, to help encourage diversity in games development.
No previous experience of games design is necessary: we are looking for women, trans persons, and non-binary folk from all backgrounds and levels of experience and abilities to take part. From those with games industry credentials, to people from university or college courses, to anyone with general creative interests if you are a budding artist, creative practitioner, writer, organiser, sound designer, filmmaker, programmer, ideas person, storyteller, coder or gamer, then do please apply!
At the start of the jam you will be formed into multidisciplinary teams and will have 24 hours to invent and design a game these will be judged by a professional panel at the end of the jam and prizes will be awarded.
This promises to be a fun, exciting and engaging event an opportunity to meet and work with new people, to apply and develop your skills and talents!
Spaces are limited and the application deadline is 4th October 2016.
